Mission

The Better Information Group (BIG) offers public information services and software tools that address the root causes of social problems. BIG provides other non-profit organizations, government agencies, advocates, and the general public with free and low-cost software to assist in the development, management, and presentation of data crucial to meeting basic human needs. BIG exists to help these agencies leverage their own and external data in order to gain a better understanding of complex issues, educate the public, target social change programs, and share information with each other.

Projects

• HungerMaps.org is free utility for anti-hunger organizations to create and share interactive maps that enable them to target resources, spur discussion in the community, and educate the public.
